Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at Engineering Solutions Ltd., you will be integral in shaping the infrastructure of Cape Town. Your responsibilities will include performing structural analysis, preparing detailed notes and drawings for construction, and participating in project meetings. Responsibilities

• Analyse project specifications to determine structural requirements.
• Prepare and present design reports and recommendations.
• Evaluate material options and their implications on construction and costs.
• Consult with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals.
• Promote sustainability within design and construction practices.
• Document engineering calculations and assist in quality assurance processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• PE license strongly preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a notable portfolio

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Building Code Proficiency (SANS 10160)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Qualified Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
