Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will design and implement cloud strategies, optimising our cloud performance and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud solutions in alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with teams to define and enforce cloud best practices.
• Manage cloud infrastructure ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct research on emerging cloud technologies and their application.
• Develop and maintain cloud security protocols to safeguard customer data.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
• Create architecture diagrams and documentation for current and future cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or relevant field
• Master's in Computer Science preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in cloud solutions architecture

• Google Cloud
• Kubernetes

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Terraform: Hands-on experience in infrastructure as code practices using Terraform.
• Understanding of Networking Concepts: Solid knowledge of networking principles and protocols for cloud-based systems.
