Job Description

Join our team as a Public Health Officer, where you will be instrumental in developing and implementing health education programs aimed at improving population health. You will work closely with local organizations to assess health needs and address public health challenges through strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address public health issues.
• Design and implement effective communication strategies for health education.
• Assess the impact of health interventions and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Facilitate community focus groups to gather feedback on health services.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on public health topics.
• Conduct research in public health trends and issues.
• Monitor compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Provide guidance on public health policies and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or relevant field
• Relevant certifications in health promotion are an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in public health

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
• First Aid and CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous
