Oil Pipeline Operator

Job Description

As an Oil Pipeline Operator, your duties will include monitoring pipeline operations, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, so that we can deliver safe and efficient petroleum transportation to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and continuous operation of the pipeline systems.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks to avoid failures.
• Document all maintenance activities and report issues to management.
• Implement emergency response plans during incidents to ensure safety.
• Work with the engineering team on system upgrades and enhancements.
• Train new staff on operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Provide feedback on system performance and suggest improvements.
• Participate in compliance audits and inspections conducted by regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated with industry standards and technological advancements.

Requirements

Education

• National Senior Certificate (Matric)
• Diploma in Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Certification in Pipeline Operations or equivalent is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry

• Mechanical systems knowledge
• Safety regulations expertise

Languages
