Job Description

We are in search of a Mechanical Engineer to join our skilled team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative mechanical systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and creative thinking to tackle complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and simulations of mechanical systems.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback.
• Coordinate with other engineers to ensure project success.
• Investigate and analyze production issues to improve processes.
• Support the manufacturing team with engineering insights.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of mechanical systems.
• Create maintenance schedules and procedures for equipment.
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends in mechanical engineering.
• Provide technical support for sales and customer service teams.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation to ensure clarity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's Degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years working in the mechanical engineering field

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management Software (MS Project, Asana)

Soft Skills

• Time Management

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
