Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of risk to set appropriate premium rates.
• Develop detailed reports outlining underwriting decisions and justifications.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss underwriting strategy and development.
• Train junior underwriters and contribute to their professional growth.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or risk management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting with a focus on property and casualty insurance

Certifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
