Tax Specialist

Job Description

As a Tax Specialist at Top Tax Solutions, you will leverage your experience in tax compliance and advisory to assist clients in achieving their financial objectives. You will work closely with clients to prepare tax returns, provide tax planning advice, and develop strategies to mitigate tax liabilities.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain client tax files and documentation.
• Assist in developing marketing strategies for tax services.
• Participate in the tax planning for business clients.
• Review clients' financial statements to identify tax issues.
• Provide insights into effective tax planning strategies.
• Assist in the development of company policies regarding taxation.
• Communicate with clients to update them on their tax statuses.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Honours degree or post-graduate qualification in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a tax-related role

Certifications

• CA(SA) or SAIPA registration is an advantage

• Experience with tax software such as SARS eFiling: Proficiency in using SARS eFiling and other tax software for efficient tax processing.
• Knowledge of international tax treaties: Understanding of how international tax treaties affect local tax obligations.
