DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud computing and DevOps practices, enabling us to enhance our system reliability and deployment processes. You will play a crucial role in automating our operations, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance automated deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline applications and improve performance.
• Implement monitoring solutions to ensure system uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to code deployments and infrastructure management.
• Manage and optimize cloud storage solutions to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles or related positions
