Job Description

As a Citizen Participation Specialist, you will develop and implement strategies to encourage citizen engagement in decision-making processes. You will utilise your knowledge in community development to promote participatory methods and foster collaborative partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative outreach strategies to enhance citizen participation.
• Engage with community organizations to build partnerships.
• Organize and facilitate community workshops and forums.
• Prepare material for community awareness events.
• Evaluate engagement data and suggest improvements.
• Maintain documentation of engagement activities and reporting.
• Train volunteers and community leaders in engagement techniques.
• Coordinate with local government officials to enhance collaboration.
• Develop policies that support community engagement initiatives.
• Foster an environment of inclusivity and active participation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree in community development or social sciences is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in citizen participation and related fields.
