Veterinarian

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide variety of animal health issues while delivering exceptional client service and educating pet owners on pet care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and emergency examinations on pets.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Support diagnostic procedures including X-rays and ultrasounds.
• Administer medications and oversee dietary recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with clients about health options and treatments.
• Participate in community health initiatives and awareness campaigns.
• Keep abreast of advances in veterinary technology and medicine.
• Mentor junior veterinarians and interns as they join the practice.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the medical facilities.
• Implement animal welfare practices and advocate for humane treatment.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc or higher qualification in Veterinary Medicine

Experience

• Experience in specialty areas (e.g., surgery, dermatology) is a plus.
