Veterinarian

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide variety of animal health issues while delivering exceptional client service and educating pet owners on pet care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate animals' health through comprehensive examinations.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual cases and conditions.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and behavior.
• Oversee the nursing staff in administering care and treatment.
• Assure compliance with veterinary protocols and regulations.
• Participate in regular training and staff meetings.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and team spirit.
• Promote services to clients and assist in building client relationships.
• Provide after-hours emergency care on a rotational basis.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc or higher qualification in Veterinary Medicine

Experience

• Experience in specialty areas (e.g., surgery, dermatology) is a plus.
