Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems in line with project specifications and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply new engineering technologies and methods.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component procurement.
• Assist in training junior engineers and technical staff.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.
• Evaluate and recommend materials for engineering projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management will be beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in CNC Machining: Hands-on experience with CNC machining processes and programming.
