Telecommunications Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to support our growing operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunications systems. This role requires strong technical skills and a commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Set up and test telecommunications lines and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage inventory of tools and materials to ensure availability.
• Contribute to team meetings and share insights on improving telecommunications services.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation and user manuals.
• Support network upgrades and expansions.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Telecommunications or Electronics
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in installation and maintenance of telecom systems

Certifications

• Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management: Ability to manage small projects and coordinate with other departments.
