Job Description

Join us as a Mechanical Technician, where you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems in our Johannesburg facility. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to operational efficiency and project success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers for parts and equipment.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to project planning.
• Train junior technicians and apprentices.
• Help develop maintenance protocols and schedules.
• Support quality assurance processes.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of mechanical systems experience

Technical Skills

• Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• CAD Software

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Maintenance Technician (CMT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of ISO Standards: Understanding of ISO quality standards in mechanical engineering.
• Six Sigma Certification: Certification in Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
