Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising mechanical systems and processes. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical designs and simulations.
• Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving for design challenges.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components effectively.
• Prepare detailed design specifications and engineering drawings.
• Support the maintenance and optimisation of current mechanical systems.
• Initiate and participate in design review meetings to ensure quality and functionality.
• Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of mechanical systems.
• Stay abreast of advancements in mechanical engineering and technology.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects involving other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
