Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to improve productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring operational excellence.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team; implement best practices in warehouse management.
• Monitor inventory and order levels, and perform regular stock checks.
• Enforce health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with transportation teams to optimize delivery schedules.
• Prepare and present performance reports to upper management.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to challenges.
• Train and mentor new staff members on policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation certificate (Grade 12)
• Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in warehouse supervision

Technical Skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Order Fulfillment Processes

Soft Skills

• Team Management
• Time Management

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with Automated Warehouse Systems: Familiarity with automated systems to increase efficiency.
• Project Management Experience: Experience in managing warehouse projects from initiation to completion.
