Job Description
We are seeking a Hydroelectric Production Manager to lead operations within our hydroelectric facilities. This role will involve overseeing the generation process, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring all safety and efficiency standards are met.

Job Responsibilities
  • Direct daily operations of hydroelectric generation, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hydroelectric facilities to identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Lead maintenance planning and scheduling to minimize downtime.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the operational team.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies regarding operational standards and practices.
Job Requirements
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Degree in Renewable Energy or related field is advantageous
  • Hydroelectric Systems Management In-depth knowledge and experience in managing hydroelectric systems.
  • Electrical Systems Knowledge Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles as applied to hydroelectric systems.
  • SCADA Systems Experience working with SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
  • Project Management Ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Leadership Proven leadership capabilities in managing teams effectively.
  • Communication Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving Ability to identify issues and implement efficient solutions.
  • Certification in Hydropower Generation
  • First Aid and Safety Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience with renewable energy systems: Practical knowledge of various renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience working with remote systems: Familiarity with managing operations of remote hydroelectric plants.
