Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Specialist to bring an innovative approach to our health initiatives in Durban. The role involves developing and implementing health programs as well as collaborating with local communities to address public health challenges. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of disease prevention and health promotion strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate public health initiatives.
• Conduct community assessments to identify health issues.
• Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
• Provide health education and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor and analyze health data to inform policy decisions.
• Lead workshops and seminars to promote healthy behaviours.
• Formulate recommendations based on health trends and community needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of practical experience in public health programs
