Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in East London, specializing in the well-being of a variety of animals. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnostics and treatment, and a passion for animal welfare, making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Examine and assess animal conditions for diagnosis.
• Design and implement treatment plans for a diverse range of species.
• Assist in routine surgeries and complicated procedures.
• Engage with clients about their pet's health and treatment options.
• Work alongside interns and junior veterinarians in their development.
• Ensure compliance with animal care regulations and protocols.
• Promote preventative healthcare and wellness.
• Develop strong client relationships to support ongoing Ianimal care.
• Engage in continuous learning and development activities.
• Provide after-hours emergency care as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in veterinary practice
