We are looking for a passionate Art Gallery Manager to lead our art exhibitions and enhance community engagement through artistic programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in arts management and a love for local art.
Responsibilities
Direct the gallery's strategic planning and programming.
Engage with the public to promote appreciation for the arts.
Develop exhibitions that reflect the interests of the community.
Collaborate with artists, curators, and other galleries to create joint ventures.
Manage gallery communications, including newsletters and press releases.
Lead fundraising efforts and grant applications.
Evaluate exhibition success and community impact.
Advise on the acquisition of new artworks for the gallery.
Conduct outreach to schools and community organizations.
Ensure the gallery adheres to ethical standards in representation and curation.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Art History, Arts Administration, or related field
Master's degree preferred
Experience
5+ years of experience in an arts-related management position
