Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Art Gallery Manager to lead our art exhibitions and enhance community engagement through artistic programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in arts management and a love for local art.

Responsibilities

• Direct the gallery's strategic planning and programming.
• Engage with the public to promote appreciation for the arts.
• Develop exhibitions that reflect the interests of the community.
• Collaborate with artists, curators, and other galleries to create joint ventures.
• Manage gallery communications, including newsletters and press releases.
• Lead fundraising efforts and grant applications.
• Evaluate exhibition success and community impact.
• Advise on the acquisition of new artworks for the gallery.
• Conduct outreach to schools and community organizations.
• Ensure the gallery adheres to ethical standards in representation and curation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Art History, Arts Administration, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in an arts-related management position
