Job Description

We are seeking skilled Milling and Planing Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining milling and planing machines to ensure optimal productivity and quality output.

Responsibilities

• Configure milling and planing machines for daily operations.
• Oversee the production line and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Conduct inspections to verify that products meet quality specifications.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings and production outputs.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other operators for efficiency improvements.
• Train new operators on machine operations and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in manufacturing or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing role is preferred.

Technical Skills

• CNC programming
• Blueprint reading

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Advantageous

• Knowledge of machining materials: Understanding of different machining materials such as metals and plastics.
• Experience in lean manufacturing: Experience in lean manufacturing techniques is advantageous.
