We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our passionate team in George, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of environmental regulations and best practices, and have experience in project management, field assessments, and community engagement. You will play a critical role in developing strategies that promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed environmental impact studies.
• Lead projects focusing on sustainable development and land-use planning.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote environmental awareness.
• Research and report on emerging environmental technologies.
• Prepare compliance documents for regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on environmental initiatives.
• Oversee waste management programs and initiatives.
• Establish metrics for assessing project success and compliance.
• Provide expert recommendations based on scientific analysis.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations for sustainability efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Ecology or a related field

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in environmental engineering
