Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Public Services Librarian to deliver exceptional library services to our community. The successful candidate will assist patrons with research needs, manage collections, and promote literacy through engaging programs and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all library patrons.
• Conduct research training sessions and orientations.
• Assist with circulation tasks, including managing checkouts and returns.
• Facilitate community engagement through innovative library programs.
• Develop and implement collections management strategies.
• Collaborate in cross-departmental projects to enhance service delivery.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new resources and materials.
• Respond to patron inquiries efficiently and effectively.
• Support digital literacy initiatives within the community.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Information Studies
• Advanced certification in Digital Librarianship is a plus

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in public library services
