We are looking for an experienced Mining Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations, project management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mining operations based on geological findings.
• Utilize advanced software for mine planning and design.
• Oversee the implementation of safety protocols during operations.
• Identify areas for operational improvement and cost reduction.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops for staff.
• Streamline communication between various departments.
• Ensure effective waste management practices are in place.
• Engage in project budgeting and resource allocation.
• Assist in the hiring process for engineering roles.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology or related field
• Additional qualifications in Mining Management are advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in mining operations with supervisory roles
