Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care, with experience in performing surgeries, diagnostics, and providing treatment plans. This role requires excellent communication skills, both with clients and staff, to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat a variety of animal health issues.
  • Supervise veterinary staff in daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop protocols for surgical and medical procedures.
  • Optimize patient care through continuous improvement.
  • Keep detailed and accurate clinical notes.
  • Mentor junior veterinary staff and interns.
  • Promote the values of the practice in community engagements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent degree
  • Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine preferred
Experience
  • 2-5 years of veterinary experience, especially in small animal practices
