Job Description

As a Scutcher Tender, you will play a vital role in our textile manufacturing process, operating machinery to process fibers into materials suitable for production. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will ensure optimal machine performance and quality of output.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials for production runs.
• Set up machinery and ensure it operates correctly.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Assist in inventory management of raw and finished goods.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Maintain logs for equipment usage and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrate the correct use of machinery to other staff.
• Provide feedback on production processes to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Relevant vocational training in textile production is an asset

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating textile machinery

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes

Languages
