Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of structural design principles and experience in using modern engineering software. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures, ensuring they meet safety standards, and collaborating with other engineers on various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create structural designs that meet both code requirements and client expectations.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate and efficient designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to inform design decisions.
  • Work with internal teams to develop innovative methods for construction and design.
  • Provide technical support to construction teams on-site.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for project reviews and permits.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns in structural engineering practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a structural design role
Technical Skills
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Building Codes Knowledge

Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous
