Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Architect to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will design and implement data architecture solutions that support our vision for data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts, leveraging large datasets to create impactful insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex SQL queries to support reporting and analytics.
• Work with cloud providers to configure and manage data storage solutions.
• Implement data warehousing solutions that facilitate BI reporting.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects to define data architecture needs.
• Conduct performance tuning of data architecture components.
• Assist with migration of legacy data to new systems.
• Document data architectures and maintain clear architectural guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar field
• Master's degree in Data Engineering or related field is an added advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data architecture
