As a Burning Plant Operator, you will oversee and operate equipment used for burning waste materials. This role requires you to work in a team environment, ensuring that all safety and environmental standards are met.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of the burning facility, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Regulate burner operations and handle adjustments during the burning process.
  • Utilize various tools to maintain the equipment and respond to alarms promptly.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices regarding waste management.
  • Participate in continuous training sessions to improve operational skills.
  • Advise on environmental compliance strategies.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous waste materials.
Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Completed apprenticeship in a relevant field is advantageous
  • Attention to detail Thorough understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Mechanical skills Ability to maintain and troubleshoot burning equipment.
  • Operational efficiency Experience in optimizing production processes.
  • Communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills essential in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills Ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Team collaboration Experience working effectively within operational teams.
  • Waste Management and Safety Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Shift Work: Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Technical Skills: Prior experience with waste management systems is preferred.
