Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our passionate team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will provide assessments, therapy, and support to clients dealing with emotional, mental, and behavioral disorders. You'll work collaboratively with other health professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and foster a supportive environment for all clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs through psychological assessments.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to address mental health issues.
• Participate in professional development and training workshops.
• Support clients in setting and achieving personal therapeutic goals.
• Provide guidance and support to clients' families as needed.
• Document all interactions and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology
• Valid registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist

Experience

• 5+ years of applied psychology experience

• Play Therapy

• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Specialization in Child Psychology
• DBT Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications: Understanding of the use and effects of medications in mental health treatment.
• Crisis intervention training: Certification in techniques for managing psychiatric emergencies.
