Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Freight Systems Manager to oversee our freight planning and logistics operations in Durban. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation schedules and oversee freight movements.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to company policies.
• Monitor transportation metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and freight vendors.
• Handle any issues that arise with shipping processes and provide solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to implement in operations.
• Utilize software to oversee supply chain and freight management processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5-7 years in freight system optimization and logistics operations
