Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer based in Durban, you will apply your engineering knowledge to solve critical mechanical challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and refine systems, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical solutions for various projects.
• Engage in feasibility studies and cost estimations.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for material procurement.
• Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of engineering staff.
• Ensure all design documentation is up-to-date.
• Address and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a related field

Technical Skills

• FEA Software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus)
• Prototyping Techniques

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
