Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Industrial Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in process optimization, product design, and quality control to enhance overall operational efficiency. You'll be involved in assessing production processes and implementing systems that improve output and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects aimed at improving production layout and workflow efficiency.
• Perform simulations and modeling to visualize process changes and outcomes.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet the highest standards.
• Document processes and maintain records for compliance and quality control.
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address production challenges.
• Engage with suppliers to optimize material sourcing and inventory levels.
• Assist the operations manager in strategic planning for production goals.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.
• Conduct time studies and performance evaluations to establish benchmarks.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in the workplace.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a related role
