We are searching for a Mechanical Engineering Consultant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in mechanical systems to tackle a variety of engineering challenges, fostering innovative solutions that meet client requirements while advocating for best practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mechanical designs and systems for feasibility and sustainability.
• Perform calculations and simulations to support engineering decisions.
• Facilitate communication between clients and the engineering team.
• Document projects through reports, manuals, and presentations.
• Implement innovative engineering practices to optimize project outcomes.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to the schedule.
• Engage in client meetings to discuss project objectives and updates.
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the engineering environment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on consulting

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Fluid Dynamics
• Mechanical Systems Optimization

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
