Junior Architect

Job Description

We are in search of a Junior Architect to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design and the skills to support senior architects in delivering innovative projects. You will engage in all phases of design, from concept to construction, gaining exposure to a variety of architectural styles and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of architectural designs and plans.
• Participate in site visits to assess project requirements.
• Prepare presentation materials for client meetings.
• Conduct research on building codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and consultants to integrate technical specifications.
• Support senior architects in project management tasks.
• Contribute to the development of sustainable design solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in an architectural firm preferred

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with sustainable design practices: Knowledge of green building practices and environmentally friendly materials.
• Familiarity with BIM software: Experience with Building Information Modeling software for project efficiency.
