Public Health Specialist

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and evaluating public health programs aimed at improving community health. You will work closely with local governments, non-profit organizations, and community groups to develop and coordinate health initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in public health, research methodologies, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute public health campaigns on issues such as vaccination and disease prevention.
• Work closely with local authorities to align public health programs with community needs.
• Create partnerships with educational institutions for public health education
• Conduct training and workshops for healthcare staff and community advocates.
• Evaluate health outcomes and prepare reports on project impact and future strategies.
• Participate in community health fairs and outreach events.
• Gather and analyze public health data to identify trends and inform practice.
• Regularly communicate findings and recommendations to the Director of Public Health.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Science, or related field
• Master’s degree is highly advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in health program administration
