Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our production team in Johannesburg. Your main role will involve operating and troubleshooting extrusion machines, ensuring that production runs smoothly and adheres to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee extrusion machinery during production runs.
• Ensure that extrusion processes run smoothly and effectively.
• Conduct regular maintenance on machines to prevent downtime.
• Check and adjust raw material quantities to optimize output.
• Document all production metrics and report to management.
• Participate in training new staff on machine operation.
• Work closely with quality control personnel to address product defects.
• Implement improvements in production efficiency.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant engineering qualification preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, specifically with extrusion machines

Technical Skills

• Technical Drawings Interpretation
• Health and Safety Knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent
