Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the manufacturing of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background and a passion for innovation in mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and CAD designs for mechanical components.
• Perform simulations and testing to validate designs.
• Manage project timelines effectively to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their engineering needs.
• Prepare reports and presentations on project status and outcomes.
• Assist in the training and development of engineering staff.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to team brainstorming.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in engineering practices.
• Ensure all project outputs comply with company policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Additional qualifications in project management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years experience in the mechanical engineering field

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiar with CAD software: Proficient in CAD software for engineering design.
