Job Description

As a Psychologist at our Port Elizabeth facility, you will deliver evidence-based treatment to patients facing various psychological challenges. This role requires empathy, expertise in therapeutic techniques, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create holistic treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-depth psychological assessments to diagnose clients.
• Offer therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide crisis interventions when necessary.
• Educate clients and families about treatment options and strategies.
• Facilitate referrals to other mental health professionals as required.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Psychology
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Psychological Assessment Tools

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with diverse populations: Ability to connect with clients from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
