We are seeking a passionate Civil Rights Advocate to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social justice and experience in advocacy work. You will play a crucial role in promoting civil rights, supporting community initiatives, and working closely with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document civil rights violations in the community.
• Create collaborative networks with stakeholders to strengthen advocacy.
• Analyze data related to civil rights and social justice issues.
• Manage communication with media regarding civil rights stories.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and activists.
• Lead campaigns to promote awareness of critical civil rights topics.
• Support the integration of civil rights education into community programs.
• Document and report on the organization's advocacy efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Law or Human Rights
• Master's in a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil rights advocacy or social justice

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
