Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Architect to enhance our team in Cape Town. Candidates should have experience in residential and commercial design, with a solid understanding of local building codes and construction practices. You will be instrumental in developing design solutions that are both innovative and practical.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative structures that meet clients' functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Conduct research into local environmental and cultural contexts to inform designs.
• Evaluate and select materials and systems that are sustainable and cost-effective.
• Present design concepts and project updates to stakeholders and clients.
• Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Evaluate project challenges and propose effective solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Design is advantageous

Experience

• 5-7 years of architectural experience with project management skills

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• BIM Software
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Sustainability Consultant (Green Star)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
