Public Health Officer

Job Description

Health Solutions Ltd. is looking for a proactive Public Health Officer in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for assessing community health needs, analyzing health data, and leading health promotion campaigns aimed at preventing disease and improving overall community wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assess community health issues and develop strategic plans to address them.
• Collaborate with local government and organizations to enhance health services.
• Lead health promotion initiatives in schools and community centers.
• Create partnerships with health organizations for resource sharing.
• Evaluate health programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Participate in public health research to gather relevant data.
• Prepare grant proposals to secure funding for health initiatives.
• Advocate for public health education in the community.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive health service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field
• Master’s degree would be an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health settings
