Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Public Health Officer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you'll be pivotal in implementing public health initiatives and strategies aimed at improving community health standards. Your expertise will help in assessing health needs, developing programs, and educating the community on health-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives focused on health improvement strategies.
  • Evaluate community health outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between community groups and health authorities.
  • Identify funding opportunities for community health projects.
  • Coordinate public health emergencies and responses.
  • Support research initiatives related to public health.
  • Engage with media for health communication strategies.
  • Facilitate health screenings and immunization drives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred
