Job Description

As an Actuary, you will utilise your strong analytical skills to assess risk and generate accurate forecasts. Working cross-functionally, you will support various sectors of the business with expert advice on insurance products and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and verify models to evaluate insurance risk and profitability.
• Prepare detailed forecasts and reports for management to aid in decision-making.
• Collaborate with financial analysts to align risk management strategies.
• Review and optimise existing pricing strategies for better performance.
• Teach best practices in actuarial methodologies to team members.
• Advocate the use of data analytics in enhancing actuarial processes.
• Support business development with actuarial expertise during client presentations.
• Evaluate and recommend software tools to improve actuarial functions.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in risk assessment and actuarial services

Technical Skills

• Risk Modelling Software
• Data Analytics Tools

Soft Skills

• Time Management

Certifications

• Fellowship in an actuarial society is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with predictive modelling: Hands-on experience in predictive analytics will be a plus.
