Join our vibrant team in Pietermaritzburg as a Veterinarian. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating animal health issues, performing surgeries, and ensuring the overall well-being of our furry patients. We are looking for someone passionate about animal welfare and dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care to both pets and livestock.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment for sick and injured animals.
• Provide surgical care, including emergency procedures as needed.
• Keep up-to-date medical records for all animals treated.
• Work with pet owners to ensure they understand treatment needs and follow-up care.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Promote wellness and preventative care among clients.
• Help train and mentor junior veterinary staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
• Postgraduate studies and specializations are favourable.

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in a veterinary environment.
