Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials while maintaining a tidy and organised workspace.

Responsibilities

• Follow all receiving and shipping procedures for products.
• Track and manage inventory using hand-held scanners and inventory management software.
• Assist in training new hires on operating procedures.
• Utilize forklifts and pallet jacks safely in material handling.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at all times.
• Collaborate with supervisors to improve logistics processes.
• Engage in material handling tasks across various departments as needed.
• Continuously communicate with team members regarding material needs and movement.
• Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on improving efficiency.
• Ensure all machinery is operated safely and correctly.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Material handling equipment
• Basic computer skills

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Valid forklift certification
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
