IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description

Join our Stellenbosch team as an IT Infrastructure Specialist. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining IT infrastructure and providing support to enhance our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the IT infrastructure ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Assist in managing IT projects from initiation through to completion.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as required.
• Create and maintain inventory of IT assets.
• Assist users with technical issues, providing exceptional support.
• Develop policies and procedures for IT usage and security.
• Implement software updates and system maintenance schedules.
• Evaluate and recommend potential IT solutions and enhancements.
• Lead efforts in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Help establish training programs for optimal IT system utilization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT
• Postgraduate qualifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles will be advantageous

Technical Skills

• Cloud services (AWS, Azure)
• Virtualization technologies

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent
