Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and health assessments.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided.
• Identify patient care needs and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and best interests.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care discussions.
• Monitor inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse license to practice in South Africa

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting

Technical Skills

• IV Therapy
• Patient Education

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Adaptability

Certifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Nursing Informatics Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in geriatric nursing: Experience managing elderly patients and their unique needs.
• Fluency in Afrikaans or isiZulu: Additional language skills are a strong advantage.
