Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team. You'll provide therapy aimed at addressing emotional and psychological difficulties, engage in assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance mental health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients in therapeutic practices aimed at coping with stress and emotional disturbances.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and adapt when necessary.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.
• Provide expert testimony in legal cases when required.
• Facilitate workshops and trainings on mental health topics.
• Collaborate with educational institutions to support the mental health of students.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in mental health legislation and best practices.
• Engage in self-care practices to ensure personal wellbeing and avoid burnout.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Psychology
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 3-5 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Psychological Assessment

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Psychologist
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
