Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Tax Consultant to join our growing team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will leverage their in-depth knowledge of tax regulations and compliance to provide exceptional service to our clients. This role requires an analytical and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, helping clients navigate complex tax issues and ensuring compliance with the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

Responsibilities

• Support clients in preparing for tax audits and assessments.
• Advise clients on various tax implications and benefits.
• Conduct client onboarding and provide education on tax responsibilities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Provide feedback to management on tax compliance issues and client service.
• Enhance internal processes for client tax management.
• Foster collaborative working relationships within the team.
• Assist with identifying and implementing technology solutions for tax compliance.
• Create engaging training sessions for junior tax staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Additional certifications in taxation are preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a tax consultancy role

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner

• English: Fluent

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel: Strong skills in using Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
