Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Public Health Officer to enhance public health efforts in Port Elizabeth. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs, conducting outreach efforts, and leading educational sessions. You will also collaborate with various stakeholders to improve health access and foster partnerships to expand our community health resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee community health programs and strategies.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to support public health goals.
  • Conduct workshops to raise awareness about public health issues.
  • Assist in managing public health emergencies and responses.
  • Identify barriers to health access and propose solutions.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for resource allocation.
  • Prepare health-related articles and reports for dissemination.
  • Evaluate and refine community health programs based on outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health preferred
Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in public health care or community health services
